Hey ladies! I was recently introduced to La Redoute through Le Blog de Big Beauty's fashion blog. She recently did a post on a collaboration she did with the company so I decided to check it out for myself.

La Redoute is a French Fashion Retailer that sells Womens (straight and Plus size) and Mens clothing along with shoes and home-ware.

When browsing the site, the Le Redoute Womens Plus size undergarments stood out to me the most. They have some really cute bras and panties. Here is one of my favorites:

Hey Guys!! I just wanted to stop by and wish everyone (late) Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I hope everyone is doing well and and are able to spend the Holidays with your family and loved ones.

I went to a Christmas Party last week with my cousin and it was supposed to be semi formal, so I thought that would be the perfect time to bring out my gold sequin blazer! I purchased this blazer a couple of months ago and have worn it about 4 times, both casual and glammed up. Since it was cold I decided to pair the jacket with some harem pants and a collared shirt. I added a neck tie and....voila! I was called the Janelle Monae the entire night LMBO!!

I wasn't able to get any pics like usual but my cousin snapped a few photos with her camera so I thought I would post them so you guys could get the gist of what I wore.

Lately I have been really into the neon and nude trend. I l

ove the delicateness of the nude and by adding the pop of neon, it really brings in that unexpected element.

I have also been living in this Safari Vest. It is definitely one of my favorite pieces in my fall wardrobe. Though I didn't take the nude/neon to the extreme, I did to decide to play up my fall colors by adding a neon orangey/pink handbag. I love this bag and I will be incorporating this into my fall wardrobe as well.

The Midi Dress

Midi dresses and skirts have been a huge trend this year! From solids, to stripes, to chiffon, to spandex, the midi has been see all over the runways and in the magazines! I was so excited when I saw this multicolor stripe midi dress in Old Navy! I would have never guessed that Old Navy would have something so chic so It was like finding a hidden treasure!

Since fall is here and the temperatures are dropping, I thought I'd pair this dress with maryjane platform pump. Though I would have much rather paired it with some Christian Louboutin Pigalles, a very classic pointed toe pump!

Ready For Fall: Stripes and Leopard Print

Hey guys! Fall is vastly approaching and I am so ready for it! I decided to revisit the trend of mixing prints and realized that this outfit is perfect for fall, well at least the color scheme is! Add a long sleeve stripe top or a safari jacket instead of the vest shown, and you will be fall ready! The red lips just gives it that extra pop!

I wore this casual look to a going away dinner for a friend of mine. It was perfect: Comfortable, Stylish and appropriate for the windy weather we had (probably due to hurricane Irene that hit the east coast. I hope all of my readers are safe and sound!)

"I would NEVER show my arms!"

Hey Guys!! I know it has been a while. If you follow me on Tumblr, you would know that I was on Vacation in Florida for about a week, which is one of the reasons I haven't posted anything. I hope everyone is doing well!

This is going to be a different kind of post. No pictures, No outfit, No shoes, just words. I have received several emails from my readers commending me on wearing sleeveless tops and showing off my arms. So many have asked me how I've become so comfortable with wearing sleeveless tops and dresses and to be honest, I just stopped caring what other people thought.

There was a time that I was a little uncomfortable with my arms (they were a lot smaller back then too lol) but it wasn't necessarily because of how I felt, it was the people (my cousin, mainly, who is also plus size) around me saying "Aren't you going to throw a cardigan over that?", "You should probably wear a blazer over that shirt", etc. However, once I became comfortable with how I looked, I realized that If I thought It looked fine, why would I need to "cover up" just because someone else thought I should? Not to mention, who wants to wear a HOT Black Cardigan in the summer time? I know I don't, and it looks ridiculous if you ask me.

You definitely have to be comfortable with yourself and your body to pull off the clothing that you want to wear, if not you will limit yourself in so many ways! I don't think I have the best arms in the world, but because I don't limit myself to only short and long sleeve shirts, people see my confidence and they commend me for that. Confidence is key.

So all in all, there is no magic anything that is going to make you feel comfortable with showing off your arms, legs, tummy, etc. There is nothing that I or anyone else can tell you to make that happen. Of course I am happy that I and other plus size bloggers can encourage you to take more risk with fashion and put aside some of the negative things that society has to say about your body, but you have to come to a point where you STOP CARING WHAT OTHERS THINK OF YOUR BODY. If you think you look fine with showing your arms, do it. If you like the way your legs look, wear a skirt/dress or shorts. Do what makes you feel comfortable and what you like!

Just remember, "Someone's opinion of you does not have to become your reality."

I was contacted by We Love Colors to do a review on a pair of their tights. We Love Colors are known for their wide selection in colored tights, leggings, and patterned tights. I was sent these Green Footless tights about a month ago and I must say, I LOVE them! They are really comfortable, opaque and durable!

I decided to keep it simple and chic today so I paired these tights with a sheer cream button up blouse and nude pumps!

Does Pockets and Bows wear Shape Wear?

Hey guys! I have been asked numerous times on my tumblr page if I wear shape wear and I don't usually. The only time that you will find me wearing shape-wear is if I'm going some place really fancy and I have to wear something formal or a cocktail dress, which is rare.

With that said I have used spanx and all over shapers in the past and I definitely prefer the spanx shorts if I am going to wear shape-wear at all. Something like this:

However, while browsing through the women's lingerie section of the Simply Yours website, I found these knickers that I really like, which is really just a high waisted panty. They are so cute and go along with that pin up look that is really in for undergarments and swim suits right now. I'm sure they will be much more comfortable and still give a bit of control in the tummy area.

So let me know, do any of you ladies wear shape-wear? Or is it just too much of a hassle?

I have been really loving the sheer blouses by American Apparel. They are so chic and simple! You can dress them up or down and I love versatility in clothing! I love the way Delmy of Fashion Bananas styled her blouse!

I have found a plus size version of the American Apparel button down at Asos. It doesn't have the pockets on the front but it is a good alternative!

Hey ladies!! This past weekend I got a chance to wear my ASOS Caged top. I kept everything really simple because of the dramatics of shoulders on the shirt (The pics tone down the caged shoulders a lot). The shirt was very comfortable and made it very easy to add edge to an otherwise simple outfit.

Hey Ladies! It was super HOT today, like 102 degrees HOT! I wanted to be as comfortable as possible, while still being trendy, laid back and cute. This camo tank top is one of my favorite purchases of the summer because of the coral color in it. I have really been into corals for the summer!

My grandmother gave me this vintage Chanel handbag when she was getting rid of some of her old clothes and accessories and I really love it! I couldn't wait to wear it. The long strap gives it such a chic yet laid back look, perfect for the summer.

Hey guys! As many of you may know the Oxford shoe has been one of the hottest trends in 2010. Plenty of Fashionistas and Celebs have been spotted wearing this trendy flat tie up so when I saw them on HauteLook, I knew I had to have them!

The oxfords I purchased were the Jezebell by Steven (Steve Madden). They came in black and silver. Of course I chose silver! They make such a statement! Sakina from Saks in the City also did a post on these a while back and she looked so cute! They are so comfy and cute I can't wait to wear them out!

Hey Ladies!! I know it's been FOREVER! But i'm back!

I wanted to show you guys this dress I found on clearance at Target for 3.99! This dress was definitely NOT love at first site, a little too "Little House on the Prairie-ish" for my taste, however anyone who knows me, knows that I CAN NOT pass up a sale! And at 3.99, as Tim Gunn (project runway) would say "Make it work!" So I did :0)

Work: I paired the dress with a studded belt and platform sandals (YSL Tribute Knockoff)

Play: For a more casual look I pair the dress with a Denim Cropped Jacket, the same studded belt and chain/diamond embellished sandals.

I wore this dress to work today and received sooo many compliments! I paired it with a black skinny belt, round toe two toned pumps and pearls.

This dress is definitely a winner and the shoulder action makes it that much more Amazing!

Hey Ladies!!! I am so excited to share with you the launch of ASOS Curve, which is Asos's Plus size line. The line launched today and they currently have about 40 items listed on the site and I LOVE EVERYTHING! Just from looking at the site I can see that the quality of the clothing is really good! They will feature UK sizes 20-26 which is roughly equivalent to U.S. sizes 18-24 ( A huge upgrade from Faith21 *still side eyeing their size chart*).

Hey ladies!! I know it's been forever!! I have been so busy with work that all I do is work and sleep!! Also being that I work in a BUSY office, I have not been very motivated to dress cute, so trust me, you haven't missed much LOL. On to the goodies!!

I was so grateful to receive some cute clothes from Jen's Fashoion Plus! She sent me over a few dresses and I love each one of them!! Jen was very sweet and got the items to me super fast!!

Since it was a little warmer here in my city I was able to wear one of the dresses to work today!! This is the cutest babydoll style dress and very work/church appropriate! Especially if layered with a cute cardigan which is what I did. (cardigan not pictured)

I paired the dress with some cute round toe black pumps and a Black bow headband.

Simple and cute=Perfect for the workplace ;0)

I apologize for my absence but I hopefully I can come back full force now that I have gotten acclamated to my work schedule!

Sex and the City II began filming in upper Manhattan Tuesday in New York! Sarah Jessica Parker as the uber fabulous character "Carrie Bradshaw" was spotted walking the streets of Manhattan in a white Halston dress, with sparkly gold Christian Louboutin heels & a Chanel handbag. I am in LOVE with the Gold Christian's!!

The movie officially hits theaters in May 2010!!! I'm so excited!! This will definately be a girls night out for me and my girlfriends!

Since I don't have the coins to go out and buy the things I want, I went "imaginary" online shopping today! Here are a few of the items I have been OBSESSING over lately!!

1)ASOS Grey zip dress

This dress caught my eye because of its "washed" look! I love how it simulates old faded jeans but the dress is actually silk!

2)ASOS Tshirt dress

The embroidery is what makes me fall in love with this dress! Its so simple yet the fit gives off sexiness without showing too much!

3) Dorothy Perkins Black dress

This dress is gorgeous!! It resembles the black latex leggings that everyone has worn one way or another and those puffy sleeves are to die for!

4) Dorothy Perkins grey bodycon dress

I guess I am truly in love with pieces that exude the word Oxymoron. This dress resembles an evening dress yet the "sweatshirt" material makes it a more everyday piece. Depending on how you pair this dress up, it can become a staple in your wardrobe.

5) Doroty Perkins Black/white rose skirt

This skirt channels my inner Kelly Kapowski from "Saved by the bell". Kelly Kapowski's style looks better and better to me nowadays LOL.

6) Dorothy Perkins Black Leather skirt

What girl doesn't want a leather skirt? This mini leather skirt is a perfect staple piece with a great shape.

I found out about these new Leather Band-Aids via Twitter and I was pretty baffled by the idea! I then decided, "what the hey let's see how much they cost" and they were a mere $18 for 3 Band-Aids as shown below LOL! These Band-Aids were created by Amron, I've never heard of this designer but maybe some of you have? Am I the only one getting a chuckle out of this? I mean you really have to plan on hurting your self to pay $18 dollars for 3 Band-Aids! I kid, I kid if you like it I love it :)

They also have the oh so famous Louis Vuitton Band-Aids for you Brand Name Lovers! But of course you have to inquire about pricing and availability for these fabulous abrasion covers!

I am absolutely in LOVE with this Trend! I need one in my life like ASAP!! Being that these Jackets go for about $11K, obviously I will not be able to scrape up the coin to buy a true Balmain on a "sit-at-home" salary LOL, so I may just have to do a DIY project to achieve this HAUTE LOOK!!

I was really excited about this line initially but after seeing the sizing and the items, that excitement faded quickly! I wear a size 18-20, so I think I may be able to wear the 2x, but my local f21 doesn't carry the line so I want be trying the clothes anytime soon! Especially since there return policy only consist of getting a store credit!

Torrid, Asos, Ninewest and Mac Haul

Hey Fashionistas! I recently purchased a few items from Asos, Torrid, and Mac cosmetics! The items I purchased from Asos were really cheap because I wanted to try out their merchandise and being that they are located in the UK i didn't want to be out of a lot of money if things didn't work out ;) However the items were good! So I'll be buying more Yayy!

Ninewest:

These are the Ninewest Voula! These are soo cute, but I haven't decided how I want to wear them just yet :(

Asos items:

I really like the black mesh on the sleeves!
This shirt is just something to throw on. I think I'm going to wear it with some white jeans that were DIY. (I made them really rugged and put holes in them!)This shirt is really big! So I may wear it with liquid leggings, but Idk what do you ladies think?

Torrid: This dress fits me really good, but it's soooo plain! I'll have to think of something to jazz it up a little. Do you ladies have any suggestions? Leave comments ;)

Mac brushes:
The mac 187 is a stippling brush that is supposed to give foundation and airbrushed look, but it leaves a few streaks in my opinion.

The mac 219 is excellent for smoking out the lower lash line and also applying color (pigments/eyeshadow) to the lower lash line. Love it!

The mac 227 is a big fluffy eyeshadow brush. I use this brush mostly for my brow highlight and I love it for that purpose, but I've recently started using it on those "dash out the door" days. I apply a neutral color with 1 swipe of the 227 and it gets the job done!

The mac 239 is a flat eyeshadow shader brush with densely packed bristles. It is excellent for packing the color on your lid, not to mention it is suuuuuppper soft!

The mac 109 is a small foundation brush that is supposed to give you an airbrushed look as well, and it does just that! I put on liquid foundation with this brush and it was FLAWLESS! It just buffs the foundation out to perfection! However, I recently learned that my skin doesn't like liquid foundation so I use it to apply my Studio Fix Powder and it's great, but I have to warn you, this brush gives you full coverage when you apply a powder! So I definitely wouldn't use this as a blush brush, but to each her own ;)

Hey ladies! I know I've been gone for a while and not very consistent with my post, I promise to do better. However, I have been really busy with school. I have 2 more classes left of my whole undergrad career!!! WOW :0) I graduate May 9th, so excited! But once all that hype is over I hope to be back in full force ;)

MAYBE! Forever 21 (F21) is launcing a new plus size line of clothing called Faith 21 which will include: tops, jeans, leggings, skirts, and dresses. The sizes will range from XL-2x. I'm not sure how the jeans sizing will be but a 2x is usually equivalent to an 18-20, however this line will be a Junior Plus Line so the sizes maybe smaller. Here are a few looks from the lookbook:

I'm comlpetely in love with that black skirt with the flowers/ruffles on the hem...mmmm it don't get no better LOL.

Faith 21 will launch May 1st in select stores nationwide and at Forever21.com

Hello Fashionistas!! I've been eyeing these gucci boots on the runway for sometime now. And of course Beyonce and Rihanna can make any shoe look Hott! So I finally found some that looks almost identical!!! Pure excitement ;) The only visible difference is that the "knockoffs" have more of a stiletto heel rather than the cone shaped heel that the gucci version has...I still love them the same especially for only $59.00. I purchased my boots from Shi (an affiliate with Journeys). Pics are coming sooooon!!

I was sooo dying to wear these JS pumps...I think almond toes are my new loves because I'm absoulutely obsessed. I'm also really into the cowl/turtle neck, there so warm and cozy and still ubber fabu. BTW, who says big girls can't wear SKINNY jeans..Ha!
